KDE4.0で実際に使えるみたいだし，
その中の，Nepomuk-Mozillaについて．
NEPOMUK の公式サイトの紹介によると

Nepomuk-Mozillaの目的はありとあらゆるWebデータ（Webページの一部を含む） またはFirefoxのローカルファイル，Thunderbirdの電子メール，にアノテーションを付けること そして，Mandriva Linuxの標準のメタデータストア（例えば，KDE4.0のメタデータストア）にアノテーションを保存することである．
その利点は， ”個人のセマンティックWeb”に向けて， 様々なアプリケーションの垣根を越えて埋もれていたアノテーションやオントロジ共有することにある．
最初の段階は， Nepomuk dbus serviceとFirefoxそしてThunderbirdの統合からなる． 次の段階は， メタデータを取引するための開発するつもりのアドオンにより この統合を利用する． そして，Mozilla開発者のコミュニティを，この共有デスクトップメタデータストアの利用に巻き込む．
